The AirCar, a dual car and airplane, has successfully completed its first test flight from city to city. Developed by Slovakian start-up Klein Vision, the AirCar can transform from a car to a light aircraft in just a few minutes. When the front wings are folded, they disappear completely into the body of the car, giving it the appearance of a sports car. However, with the wings extended and the rear of the car lengthened, it can take to the skies. The AirCar has already completed 141 successful test flights, with the latest being the first to travel from one city to another.

The AirCar weighs 1,100 kilograms without passengers and can carry a maximum payload of 200 kilograms. It is powered by a 1.6-liter BMW engine with 160 horsepower, which propels it to a top speed of 190 km/h in flight. It requires just a short runway of 300 meters to take off and has a range of 1,000 kilometers. The recent test flight saw the AirCar travel from Nitra International Airport to the capital city of Bratislava, covering a distance of approximately 90 kilometers in just 35 minutes.

Anton Zajac, one of the founders of Klein Vision, commented on the successful test flight, stating that the AirCar has made science fiction a reality. The company plans to introduce a new version of the AirCar with a 300 horsepower engine that can fly at speeds of up to 300 km/h while still maintaining a range of 1,000 kilometers. The AirCar is expected to usher in a new era of dual transportation, where cars can transform into airplanes and vice versa, providing a new level of convenience and flexibility for travelers.
