German start-up Hopper Mobility has developed a hybrid vehicle that combines the features of a car and an e-bike. The three-wheeled Hopper has two seats, a roof, and a steering wheel, with a luggage capacity of 90 liters. Despite its width of 80 centimeters, the Hopper is classified as a pedelec in Germany, allowing it to travel on bike paths and reach a maximum speed of 25 km/h with electric assistance. The vehicle has a range of up to 110 kilometers and comes in a cargo variant with a luggage capacity of 290 liters. Hopper Mobility has raised €580,000 through a crowd-investment round to fund the production of the pilot series, which is set to begin in the first quarter of 2023.
