Swedish microcar start-up Luvly has developed a compact electric car that is both environmentally friendly and resource-efficient. The Luvly O model weighs only 380 kilograms and requires just 6 kWh of electricity for every 100 kilometers. Its energy storage system consists of two removable battery modules, each weighing 15 kilograms, which can be charged using a standard household socket. The battery can be fully charged in just one hour, providing a maximum range of up to 100 kilometers. With a top speed of 90 kilometers per hour, the Luvly O is suitable for both urban and suburban driving, although its trunk capacity is limited to 267 liters.

Luvly’s innovative production process involves manufacturing the mini electric vehicles in individual components, which are then assembled in small production facilities located in the target markets. This approach allows for up to 20 vehicles to be transported in parts, making it more cost-effective and environmentally friendly. The company plans to build a 2,000 square meter factory to produce vehicles for the Swedish market. The Luvly O is priced at €10,000, but this could be lower in countries with government incentives for electric vehicles. Luvly also plans to develop a sporty three-wheeled buggy and a small transporter, both of which will be transported in parts.

Luvly’s approach to manufacturing mini electric vehicles is a game-changer in the industry. By producing the vehicles in individual components, Luvly can transport more vehicles in a single container, making it more cost-effective and environmentally friendly. The Luvly O is an excellent option for those looking for an affordable and eco-friendly vehicle for urban and suburban driving. With its short charging time and impressive range, the Luvly O is a great choice for those who want to reduce their carbon footprint without sacrificing convenience.
