Suzuki Unveils MOQBA: A Revolutionary Vehicle for Seniors

Suzuki has recently unveiled its latest innovation, the Modular Quad Based Architecture (MOQBA), at the Japan Mobility Show 2023. The MOQBA is a unique vehicle that combines the features of a motorcycle, a quad, and a wheelchair. This four-legged vehicle can reach a maximum speed of 32 km/h and can travel up to 80 km on a single charge. The MOQBA can be used as a Segway-like standing vehicle, a motorcycle, or even as a wheelchair for people with mobility issues.

The MOQBA has a chassis with four small wheels, each with three degrees of freedom that can be individually controlled by electric motors. This allows the MOQBA to climb stairs, although it is relatively slow due to the individual leg movement. While the MOQBA is still a concept and not yet in production, Suzuki believes that it could be a game-changer for seniors who want to maintain their mobility and independence. This is especially important in Japan, where the aging population is a significant concern.

Suzuki’s sketches also suggest that the MOQBA could have additional applications, such as a delivery vehicle, waste transporter, or even a ball thrower on tennis courts. The MOQBA is an exciting development that could revolutionize the way we think about mobility and accessibility for seniors and people with disabilities. With its unique design and versatility, the MOQBA has the potential to change lives and make a significant impact on the future of transportation.
